This museum was designed to portray the role of the freedom fighter Tatya Tope's life and role in the Indian war of Independence. This project was designed in collaboration with Lokus design studio who were the ones to curate the experiences and exhibits of the museum.
The Architectural language of this building is a modern Interpretation of the wada and temple style of Maharashtrian architecture. Consequently the construction techniques and materials native to Maharashtra are utilized. A key feature of this building are the rammed earth walls made from earth gathered from all the places that Tatya Tope travelled to and influenced during his time.
